Las Cruces Public Schools is resurfacing the athletic tracks at all four comprehensive high schools, including Centennial, Las Cruces, Mayfield and Organ Mountain.
The projects will be completed in phases to ensure the new surfaces cure properly and remain in top condition for student athletes. To avoid injury or delays, the tracks will be intermittently closed to the public during this time. Phase 1 is underway now and Phase 2 is expected to begin in the spring.
The district asks that anyone who uses these facilities for recreation or exercise to be mindful of posted signage advising of the closure.
